For this reason we decided that a time of adjustment would be necessary if this little one was a boy. We also thought it may be better to start that adjustment before the baby arrived. So we took Ty to the ultrasound and found out it's a girl. Ty said "I know" and was sooo excited. He still is excited.
I have to say though it is weird knowing what we are having. It has taken about a month just to get used to the idea. For the first few weeks we continued to call her "it" or "the baby." One day I told Drew I had figured out how I was going to decorate Abby's room. His response "Who's Abby? (insert moment of silence) Oh! I can't believe we're having a girl!"
I have enjoyed planning out her nursery more then the last two, but I think that has more to do with the fact that we, well me, can actually decorate a nursery this time around since we've been in rental houses the past two times. And yes I have already began to buy her clothes and should soon start making her some. But I do have to ask. What is UP with ALLLL the pink? Seriously don't they know that baby girls can wear other colors. If I wanted that much pink on her I would just dip her in a large tub of Pepto-Bismol.
So some of you may have noticed I said "Abby" earlier. We will be calling her Abby which will be short for.....
Tabitha. Middle name has not yet been finalized. Any suggestions?

I know what you mean about the Pink. We did not find out with Tinzley and when she came out a girl I knew I was going to be flooded with PINK. It is not so bad and you end up finding cute things in other colors. It is hard when they are newborns though. Congrats. Girls are fun too!
You look great and I love the name Abby! I can't wait until I find out what I'm having... it's hard not knowing and I don't know how you made it the entire 9 months with both boys!! Kudos to you!

Misty's middle name is "September." It doesn't get any more awesome than that.
Isn't it so exciting having another? Especially a GIRL?! So happy for all four of you. I know Ty is especially excited! You look great, Shannon, unlike me. Although, I do look much better than 2008, thats for sure, hah hah ha. On Abby's middle name, I thought Tabitha Jayne (or Jane) sounded so pretty. It just came to me. Have fun deciding! Take Care!
