My sweet May Day Baby turned two last Saturday. I can't believe that he is already leaving "babyhood" and entering "boyhood." To me it's the second birthday that so signifies they end of the baby phase. Our whole family was in Atlanta the week before. I had a conference there and Drew's parents watched the boys for a few days. We decided to just have him a family party in Newnan that day since the Great-Grands live so close. The whole family meet at Chick-fil-A for breakfast buffet/lunch (it's a Drawf House and on Saturdays they have an all you can eat breakfast buffet, yum, an endless flow of chicken biscuits). We all had a great time and Nolan enjoyed the ice cream cake, thanks to Oma, and the presents. He did lose interest in the presents after he opened the first one. All he wanted to do was play with his new golf set.
Happy Birthday, Big Boy!!!!
He also had his two year check up this past week. He has grown A LOT in the past six months. He went from about the 7% in height to the 50%. We've also been dealing with growing pains during the night. It's a wonderful experience of episodes of crying throughout the night. He had some last night and I am very tired today. He is still very low on the weigh end, tipping the scales just under 23 pounds. That put him back down in the 2% for weight. No worries though since the kid eats like a champ most of the time. At a Mexican restaurant he can put away a whole bowl of salsa with chips, a cheese quesadilla, rice and beans.
