Flying, Goose bite and remodel

We went flying last week with Andrew and a friend from church, Mr. Butch.  Butch is quickly becoming like another granddad to our boys.  They love him and they love to go flying with him, as the following pictures show.  Unfortunately the baby and I didn't think it was so much fun.  It's the first time I have thrown up in a plane.  I WILL NOT be going flying in anything smaller then a jet before September.

Those are faces full of pure happiness.
The boys have taken to falling asleep together at night.  It is really cute and I am enjoying these moments of them getting along so well.

Today we went to the zoo with some friends from church.  It was hot but we had a good time.  Well for the most point.  Ty got bite on the lip by a goose. Yes, a goose.

Of course the crazy pregnancy hormones/energy has kicked it.  We have to clean out the guest room/craft room to create a nursery.  I have also been pushing to get some of our remodel projects done.  So the past few weeks we have tackled the baby's room and the laundry room.  It has made for a very chaotic house.  I am excited to say we finished the laundry room today.

Here's a picture of it when we moved into the house.  It's actually a very large room.
Oh yeah, straight from the 70's.

New floor, LOTS of paint, and some furniture moving brings us to our current situation.
The furniture is too big for the space but we don't have any other place to put it so the laundry room is now my craft room.  I have to say the painting does help "cheer" it up.

This is an old TV armoire that is now the center of my crafting world.

Thanks to my Dad and brother it now has a retractable shelf for my sewing machines and an extra shelf for storage.  I also added a fabric covered cork board to the back to cover up the hole in the back. One day it too will be organized.... dream, dream.
Now it's on to the nursery!!!!

Nolan's 2 year Pictures

We just got around to doing pictures for Nolan's second birthday.  Our normal photographer had a baby at the beginning of May so she was unable to take them.  I had scheduled an appoint with another photgrapher and it got canceled due to weather.  Then for Mother's Day I got a brand camera.
I don't know lots about it but I have enjoyed using it.  So I decided I would try taking some pictures myself.  We headed out to a baseball field this morning.  Nolan LOVES baseball right now!  Apparently though being on a baseball field is serious business.  I could not get him to smile once.  He was always looking around and running very intently.  Here are some of the shots I got.
This is the first one.  The serious mood did not change the entire time.
They are not the best ever but all I needed was one and I think one of these will work.  Won't be quitting my day job anytime soon though.
