One week old

Our little girl has been part of our family for one week.  We are all quickly adjusting to her presence.  It is easier because she is such an easy baby so far.  Last night she actually slept for 5 hours straight.  We went for a doctors appointment today.  She is clear of any jaundice and is almost back up to her birth weight.  She may end up being our little rolly polly, we will have to wait and see though.  So far neither of the boys ever had the baby rolls and I have a feeling she is going to be the same way.  She is constantly moving her arms and legs.  Our doctor told us today to watch her closely because she'll turn over early.

As a family we have been up, moving around and trying to get back into a routine.  She was a very easy delivery and luckily I have been able to recover quickly.  I think this has helped with the boys adjusting to having a new baby in the house too.  I feel like I've been able to do more with them and they love their sister.  Tyler will sit and hold her for about 5 minutes at a time.  Whenever she cries Nolan comes running up to her to say "it's ok, baby Abbie."  He was even yelling it from his crib tonight as Andrew was changing her diaper.

Things we've noticed about our sweet Abbie so far:
She does not like to have her diaper changed
She LOVES to eat
She does not like to have her arms swaddled.  Her hands must be touching her face for her to sleep well.
She doesn't cry much but if she is unhappy she will turn is on quickly.

Julie has taken pictures of all of our kids the day they have come home from the hospital here are some she took of Abbie.

She has very long legs, fingers and toes.
This is my favorite and I think this may be the one I use for her birth announcements.  Sue, Andrew's cousin, knitted the gray blanket for her.  It matches the colors for her room.

Here's some other pictures from this past week too.
Getting ready for this first Auburn game of the season.  I told the boys to say "War Eagle" and I love that you can tell that from their facial expressions.
Meeting Meemaw for the first time.
We went to a Barons game, Minor League team, on Sunday.  It was a perfect game to go to.  It was Labor Day weekend so there not that many people were there and the weather was perfect.  The boys even got to enjoy some cotton candy.
